Recent Earthquake in Costa Rica

On Wednesday, September 5, 2012, Costa Rica experienced a 7.6 magnitude earthquake.   While it was a little scary for both the locals and our hotel guests, we are happy to report all is well here.   Our first priority was the safety of our guests, team members and to ensure everything was operating properly and safely at our hotels.

The Cayuga team and the teams at the hotels have emergency plans in place and training is done regularly to ensure all team members understand how to handle a situation such as this week’s earthquake.

Considering the magnitude which was comparable to recent earthquakes in other parts of the world that caused massive destruction to those countries, we are so fortunate that very little damage was done anywhere in Costa Rica.
